To say that 2020 has been a year of unexpected struggles is an understatement. Many Tenderfeet donors have reached out to me to share their own personal challenges, and it breaks my heart to see so many wonderful people facing hardship.
Yet, the year ends with a sense of hope that the COVID-19 Pandemic may come to an end within the months ahead. Tenderfeet is coping with the current situation as best it can and holding onto that hope for a brighter future.

It is with this situation in mind, that instead of a Uniform Fundraiser this year, we are asking for a special donation to help us get through this stage of the crisis. Funds are stretched thin these days, and expenses will be tough as the new school year begins in January.
Please consider, if you are able, a special gift this holiday season to help Tenderfeet. Every donation matters and will help the school overcome these difficulties.
This includes continued supplies to the neediest children and providing a great, caring education when possible. Please click here to give.
Tenderfeet is, at the moment, partially open by order of the government. Only students from the 4th and 8th grades are attending right now, per government direction. In Kenya, special national exams take place for students in these two grades. School breaks for the holiday this Tuesday.
Careful attention has been paid to social distancing, mask-wearing, and hand-washing. Some construction was necessary to meet the needs, such as a new hand-washing station.
When school reopens in January, it is expected that all grade levels will be attending.
This is going to be both an exciting and daunting time, as Tenderfeet seeks to serve the most vulnerable and also stay safe and financially sound.
Thank you for standing with Mama Margaret and the Tenderfeet children as they approach the new year. Your gift will help ensure that the school is able to provide a safe haven for children in desperate poverty.
